Pura Home Smart Diffuser. Every day I get in the car to take my kids to school and my oldest tells me I smell good. Isn't that the sweetest thing? It always makes me smile. This also affirms for me how important smell is and how it can trigger vivid memories. Like the smell of roasted marshmallows can take me instantly back to childhood. That's why I love the Pura Diffuser -it makes the house smell great! I love that the diffuser is connected to my phone and I can adjust fragrance, change out fragrances and control the nightlight - all from the app! They have some great fragrances to choose from and if you end up not liking the memory a fragrance may conjure up or it's just not your cup of tea, they will replace it for you!
Another from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them on Audible. Read by Eddie Redmayne who also plays the author of this book in the movie of the same name. Brilliantly creative and inventive, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them reads like a text book, but with interesting side stories woven throughout. What I I love also is the boys and I recognize and make the connections between the beasts in this book with the Harry Potter stories! I love how J.K. Rowling brilliantly alludes to and connects Harry Potter's story with her other smaller creative offerings.
This article about mosquitos in Florida had me marveling at science. We have a family vacation planned to the Florida Keys where this article sets its stage, so I had an event deeper vested interest. But those little buggers have us all reeling over the summer and as parents we are trying to protect our kids from getting eaten alive. I hope this effort truly works (without any negative ecological effects) and makes mosquitos less of a threat to us all.
MOVIE NIGHT FEATURE:
The Mitchells vs. The Machines on Netflix was this week's family movie night feature. Not at all what I expected, but a great story about a family reconnecting over misadventure and finally finding new understanding. The boys laughed hysterically at their Pug who had trouble seeing straight and pulled all kinds of cute antics. We're talking big belly laughs. All-in-all, a fun movie!
