This week's list is the End-O-Summer Edit. Not an ad, just things we are loving in real life, from one parent to another.
Celebrate Ice Cream: July is National Ice Cream Month so I thought I'd share with you our favorite ice cream of the moment: Blue Bell Mint Chocolate Chip. There's not much to say here, except run, don't walk to you nearest super market and celebrate the closing of National Ice Cream Month with some frozen goodness. Might I suggest you grab some hot fudge while you're at it? It only adds to the overall delightful experience.
You're So Money: It's the end of summer, so you might feel like you need to get some things in order as we enter a new school year. Part of that order may be of the financial variety. You know, redoing budgets, looking at your retirement, checking on that college savings? While you're at it, might I suggest you give So Money a listen? I love listening to Farnoosh Tarabi's on point advice and deep dives with her guests. This is my go-to money podcast.
A Giant Goldfish PSA: Do not release your pet goldfish into any river, pond, stream or lake. Reading this article and learning how invasive these seemingly innocent little fish can become, made my jaw drop! They wreak havoc in our fresh waters and are surprisingly resilient and hard to get rid of. So, remember if Goldie needs a new home, find her one in a new aquarium somewhere, do not release her!
Summer Yes Day?: If you haven't seen Yes Day on Netflix, watch it tonight! It's a wonderful family movie - light hearted and hilarious! I won't write any spoilers here. But, as you're watching, I want you to ask yourself: could you give your family a yes day?
