This week's list is the Vacation Edit. Not an ad, just things we are loving in real life, from one parent to another.
SuperGoop! Play Sunscreen (Mousse). This year I vowed to find a sunscreen that would be the ultimate sunscreen. I had 4 criteria: high quality protection, easy to put on (w/o looking like a ghost!), did not irritate sensitive skin, and reef-safe (because I care about the oceans!). Friends, after a feverish Google search and some mom recommendations, I found SuperGoop! Play. I have to say I accomplished my sunscreen goals with this product! Love, love, love this sunscreen! I bought several different SuperGoop products, BUT the mousse sunscreen is the one I use on my boys and the ones parents will appriciate most. Gone are the complaints about how annoying sunscreen is to put on, the mousse is easy to apply and absorbs quickly into the skin! I feel like I need to ask this sunscreen, "where have you been all my life!?" It's that good.
I put together a mixed tape for you. I used to do this for my besties in the early 90s. I call this the Vacay Mix. It's full of songs that make me think of or feel like vacation. You'll probably want to dance. I won't apologize for that - that's how I like to feel on vacation! This mixed tape comes in the form of a playlist on Spotify! Technology is so cool - and much cheaper than a purchase of blank tapes in bulk, am I right?
I purchased the following items before we went on vacation and they ALL proved to be super useful - check it out:
This beach bag on Amazon was affordable, big (carried all the things) AND very lightweight!
These goggles for the kids on Amazon are awesome. Fit well, held up, and the kids liked the polarized versions for the ocean and the clear ones for the pool!
These kids sunglasses on Amazon fit fantastic (perfect kid fit!) and are unbreakable! Plus, they come with an "eyewear rope" so they can wear them around their neck and are less likely to lose them! My boys love them!
Aloha Collection Pouches. These bags are essential for all your wet items and for keeping sunscreen and other small items from getting lost in your beach bag! I bought two of the large ones - one held a dry change of clothes (for everyone!) and one held wet items so we didn't get everything in the bag wet and smelly!
Come on now! You knew I would suggest you get all those great memories into your very own customized photo book, didn't you? Let's actually *do something* with those vacation memories! And, don't forget to interview your kids about your vacation with these 25 Interview Questions just for them - getting their perspective will not only enlighten you to what's going on in their sweet brains, but also add a great spin to your photo book! (oh, and if you missed it last week read Vacation Memories: Do This. Not That. for some great tips on capturing memories for your next vacation!)
